An ordinance amending Paragraph 1 of Shelby County Ordinance 1989-3 so the ordinance reads as follows:

AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPERLY PLUGGING ABANDONED WELLS AS STATED IN THE IOWA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, SECTION 567 (CHAPTER 39), FOR SHELBY COUNTY, IOWA.

WHEREAS, the State of Iowa has enacted legislation requiring certain procedures for the proper plugging of abandoned wells in the State, and

WHEREAS, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources has adopted rules to implement the said statutory provisions,

BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Supervisors of Shelby County, Iowa, that the said Chapter 39 of Iowa Administrative Code in its entirety shall henceforth be the requirements for properly plugging abandoned wells in Shelby County.

EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be in effect after its final passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
